Hello NBA 2K Wiki Readers, Players, and Editors! I'm JoeTDaFan, an administrator for the NBA 2K Wiki. I’m writing this blogpost to inform our community that the NBA 2K Wiki is in need of Editors to maintain our content/articles, contributors who could also update update information or upload files, and we would also love Players of the NBA 2K Franchise to share their passion for the series to help grow our community.
There are zero requirements for any of the listed roles in our wiki as they’re volunteer and community titles. For years the NBA 2K wiki has served as a resource and hub for all types of information mostly in the older 2K titles, however due to the modern day innovations, there’s plenty of other websites who have larger and more reliable information, but that doesn’t mean the NBA 2K wiki has to be abandoned and left to dust.
The NBA 2K Wiki has suffered a "ghost town" status with little edits and contributions being made until 2021 where WhiteMocha (currently the NBA 2K wiki's bureaucrat) had began to bring life into the wiki by updating and creating articles, not too long after, I was passing through the wiki time to time, contributing my own efforts to bring more modern day content such as Players, Games, Gamemodes, Teams, Badges, and several other types of content related to the NBA 2K franchise.
A year and a half later, the NBA 2K wiki has now over 1000+ pages after being in the low 400s. A lot of work, effort, and dedication went into it, but it was a very large and beneficial project which has hopefully helped the community even if it was in the smallest way. Our goal and mission is to keep creating content that’s relevant to today’s NBA 2K and expand our archives to highlight and honor the glory days of the franchise, but we need your help to fulfill our goals, the smallest edit will be one of the most significant.
Creating a Fandom account is free and simple to start your editorial journey you can follow the steps here. There’s plenty of editorial guides and information provided by Fandom, which can be viewed by here. The NBA 2K will be working on our own Editorial "Manual of Style" and other guides to help our community grow.
